Postpartum Doula Support

Welcoming a new baby is exciting but can also be overwhelming. Support is a crucial piece of your recovery and a postpartum doula can help everyone to adjust to this new time in your lives! A postpartum doula is a non-medical person who provides support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.  Overall, the main role of a postpartum doula is to provide support in whatever ways the family needs most. This is done by offering non-judgmental, evidence-based support and working with families to determine what is most important.
This may include:

• emotional and physical recovery
• attachment and bonding between baby and birthing person, partner, and older siblings
• listening to your birth story and helping you process
• feeding support, including breastfeeding/chestfeeding and bottle feeding
• basic babywearing help
• newborn care, including bathing, diapering and soothing
• light housework such as laundry and dishes
• preparing meals
• running errands
•  sibling care
• education and resources
• offering referrals as needed

Postpartum services are $30/hr with a 3 hour minimum per shift.
